In light of the coming 2011 General Assembly Session, the Alliance thought it would be both important and timely to have a sobering discussion of the realities surrounding Virginia's transportation funding crisis.
To that end, on December 2, 2010, the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance hosted the What Everyone Needs to Know About Transportation Seminar at the Center for Innovative Technology in Herndon. The event attracted over 100 attendees, including many state and local officials.
While securing new, sustainable transportation funding in this year's session is far from certain, the Alliance believes the facts are undeniable, and the coming session should be viewed within the context of these realities.
